Why subscribe?

Do you remember Saturday mornings as a kid, just sitting there with a big smile on your face as you read through the comics section of the newspaper?

Well that’s what I’m trying to recreate here with The Street Satire Newsletter. It’s a weekly(ish) newsletter filled with fake business news. Will it help you get more knowledgeable about investing or finance? Likely not. Will it make you rich? Probably no. But will it be an enjoyable and fun read and hopefully a short break from this chaos of a sh*t storm we call life? Guaranteed.

Who am I?

Well, since you asked…

Hi, I’m Nick Ellis. I cofounded a daily business newsletter (with real news) called The Water Coolest back in 2017 with some pals. We grew that bad boy to over 125k subscribers before selling it in 2021 to Barstool Sports (ever heard of it?!).

I’ve been around the block, having written and created content for PostGradProblems (now with Friday Beers), Bro Bible, The Stonk Market, and Rooster Magazine.

And now I have this little venture, which I’m really excited about.
